The past couple weeks have been a blast fishing shallow and deep. In the same day I’ve sight fished in 4ft, scoped 10-20, and dropped a bait 50ft all having success. Lots of shallow fish have spawned and gone with others spawning 8-12ft. The wind has made several days challenging but overall it’s been helpful. Whites have been roaming 30-50ft following baitfish. Small largemouth and cats have been mixed in with the whites… Congrats to David a long time friend that caught an 11.16 his first double digit… Feel free to call or text if you’re interested in a day on the lake.. Thanks, Stan (830) 768-3648
Congrats to the 3rd Sharelunker caught few days ago. I was at Elm Creek when the guy from Oklahoma came in with the fish. He was excited and his story was a good one. The fish was 15ft suspended over 60ft. He had never used FFS deep but when he dropped the trolling motor he saw a blimp and with a minnow bait and 10lb line he landed a 13lbr. Congrats… Another month of roller coaster temperatures have taken its toll lately but good times are coming soon. The forecast calls for 70s-80s the next couple weeks and most importantly the night temps are warming. I’ve been catching small males shallow and havnt seen any signs of spawning but it will be happening soon. Pitching large swimbaits and flippn jigs are my favorite but a long list of baits will work. Today the High School teams had a tournament. Congrats to the winner with 16.82... If you’re interested in a guide trip please call (830) 768-3648
Fish are spitting up shad when caught deep.
Fun size lately
Tree tops are loaded
You can only stretch it so far 🤦♂️
Large schools of the blues crusing open water
Exciting when they bite and disappointing after they rise
