Yesterday was a blast. Several fish on topwaters swimbaits and spinnerbaits. Weather change turned them on. The flooded stuff will be fun after the rain. I’ll be on Ivie or Amistad. Call if you’re interested in a trip. Thanks

If you haven’t been on Amistad this Summer you’d be shocked seeing the amount of grass. It’s lakewide. Shallow weeds to reeds to hydrilla on the surface growing out of 25-30ft. Some areas look like an aquarium. The past couple weeks fish have been spread out from grass to suspended 60ft. Lots of bait can be graphed 20ft one day then 50 the next. My best day of Whites were in 60ft and had smallmouth in the mix. I’m back n forth Amistad to Ivie call if you’re interested in a trip. Thanks

I spent yesterday cruising the majority of the lake with a guy working on a Rio Grande water crisis article for a National magazine. Didn’t make a single cast. Without water I’d guess fishing might be a lost cause ha.. The lake is almost 70ft low. We need a hurricane or three... I’m headed to Ivie!
